One of China’s largest hotel operators headquartered in the Shanghai Changning district, Huazhu Group, operates 18 brands including Hanting, Crystal Orange, VUE, CitiGO, and the French hotels Mercure and Ibis. 

On August 29^th, 2018, it was reported that hackers were asking for 8 bitcoins ($74k) for 130M records which include names, home addresses, and DOB along with 240M records of hotel invoices which include credit card numbers, cell phone numbers, check in/out times, and room numbers.
