A class action suit in the US District Court of Portland is the culmination of cases in Oregon, Seattle, etc where plaintiffs’ allege consumers were harmed by Premera Blue Cross.  Premera allegedly destroyed evidence, specifically a key computer which had been compromised and contained data loss logs from a breach in 2015.

The 2015 breach had allegedly compromised the confidential information (personal, medical, and financial data) of approximately 11M current and former subscribers and employees of Premera.
