Finnish Transport Safety Agency (Trafi) privacy concerns

Finnish Transport Safety Agency (Trafi) is the Finnish government’s safe transportation agency.  Trafi is overseen by Finland’s Ministry of Transport and Communications with an annual budget of $138M EUR and approximately 520 employees.

Trafi recently shut down its online database of public drivers licensing because it is open to the public with a search as simple as on a name.  Public comments near the end of the summer have prompted Trafi to remove its availability while they review its service vs privacy concerns.
